Alex Morgan
Director

Alex is a principal and co-founder of Acacia Partners. Alex has over 25 years’ experience providing corporate advisory and investment banking services. His prior roles include leading the corporate advisory team at Evans and Partners as well as senior positions at Macquarie Bank within the investment banking division and PricewaterhouseCoopers (New York) in its transaction services team.

Alex’s experience includes advising on mergers and acquisitions for buy and sell-side roles (both domestically and internationally), equity capital primary and secondary offerings, primary and secondary issuance of ASX-listed debt and, more generally, providing capital management and strategic advice.

Damian Pretty
Director

Damian is a principal and co-founder of Acacia Partners. Damian has had a 16 year career in the investment banking and financial services industry. Prior to co-founding Acacia Partners, Damian was a senior member of the corporate advisory team at Evans and Partners, the Head of Debt Capital Markets and also served as a director, company secretary and Responsible Manager of the firm.

Damian’s experience includes advising on equity raisings, debt raisings including hybrid issues, bond issues (ASX-listed and OTC) and bank funding as well as mergers and acquisitions, general capital management planning, advice and initiatives including on and off market buybacks.

Earlier in his career Damian worked in research, broking and institutional derivatives while at Goldman Sachs JBWere and Bell Potter.

Emma Simson
Director

Emma is a principal of Acacia Partners. Emma has had nine years experience in investment banking and financial services, corporate strategy and investor relations having held positions at Goldman Sachs JBWere, Evans and Partners and Healthscope.

Emma has worked on transactions spanning the entire capital structure, including equity raisings such as IPOs, placements, entitlement offers and debt raisings including US private placements, listed bonds and hybrids in addition to mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to commencing her career in financial services, Emma completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy and is a registered pharmacist.

Niraan De Silva
Director – Asia

Niraan has over 12 years experience in capital markets in Australia, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore including as BoAML’s Head of ECM South East Asia and Head of Equity-Linked Asia Pacific. Niraan brings deep corporate and institutional relationships in Asian markets and a wealth of transaction experience across equity, debt and mergers and acquisitions.

Niraan works closely with many of the large conglomerates and families across the South East Asian region.

Amy Burke
Associate

Amy is an associate at Acacia Partners with over ten years’ experience in financial services working across equities research and communications roles.

Amy commenced her career at Bell Potter as an associate equities analyst working directly with the Director of Research, where her role involved assisting in analysis and production of research reports and commentary across a number of sectors.

Subsequent to working at Bell Potter, Amy was head copyrighter and editor at Vanguard covering communications to the institutional, financial adviser and retail investor channels.
